It was girl’s fault why was she late from work? Look what is
she wearing? Etc. Conclusion of any incident pertaining to violation of women
is that the victimised woman was at the fault. Unbelievable, isn’t it, but that
is the truth of our society which hurts the victim more than the incident.
Instead of helping or counselling the concerned person we get occupied with the
dissection of the occurrence.
I believe that some measures should be taken to counsel the
people who become silent spectators and dictators of the incidents OR those who are not ready to support
the police from functioning against the culprits. I am proud of the “Rohtak
Sisters” for the step they took to safeguard their body & soul but simultaneously
saddened to know that all the culprits have been granted bail.
How such people can be the part of army? Simply they cannot
get away that what wrong they have done? Have they rape the girls? Girls must
have given them some liberty then only the boys have started etc. They are
young boys and at this age they are bound to make such mistakes. Please I urge
the society to come out of such mind-sets, stop making speculations &
judging the girl or held the girls responsible for such incidents. Hurting
women in any form i.e. mentally, physically or verbally is a sinful act.
Our honourable Prime Minister Mr. Narendra Modi has started
a task named “Swachh Bharat” for cleanness of the country. This activity has
been taken up across the country with great positivity and should not be
limited only to clean garbage rather it should be transformed in a big chain of
cleaning the peoples mind – set about women; making them realise the importance
of being women; respecting women and above all considering women at par with
men. Social media have started contributing to society by showing the story
based on real cases; printing it in newspaper etc. Schools have started
teaching girls the meaning of wrong touch; how to tackle the situation; whom to
approach etc. Similarly parents should also focus on children and make them
aware of all such situations and be friends with kids so that later don’t feel reluctance
in sharing their problems with parents.
Even schools / parents should teach the boys to respect
women at home / outside home. No Women deserve to be mistreated.
Let’s pray for clean Bharat!!!
