Face Behind “The Knit Well”

Mrs. Madhavi Aggarwal belongs to Indore and is a post graduate in computer applications from Devi Ahilya University, Indore. She is married and blessed with two beautiful sons aged 18 years & 12 years and is settled in Pune.

She has been knitting since the age of 11 with the help of her mother. Post her motherhood, she decided to pursue her hobby professionally. Due to her perseverance & belief she trained herself in weaving by referring various books on knitting which led to the inception of her own startup “Knit Well” in 2010.

At “ Knit Well” she herself does weaving for all age groups and even conducts classes for ladies & girls twice a week i.e. Tuesday & Friday, and for girls (age 10 and above) on Saturday. Currently she has 10 students in her Knitting class.

Being a mother of two year old daughter I wish to make her wear hand knitted sweaters, scarfs and many more articles, and have friends whose first preference is to have hand knitted woollen for their younger ones or themselves. However in today’s modernized era with hectic schedule people opt for ready made products but somewhere miss the magic of warmth which one can get only from hand knitted woollen. This year I was looking for someone who can help me with knitted apparel for my baby. I came across an advertisement on a social networking site for hand knitted products and there I got introduced to Madhavi. And thought to introduce her to all of you, who have been longing for hand knitted products.
