‘Talvar’
– A theory crafted, a portray designed and hanged!
“A fatal incident which
occurred to a family, which had shaken the country from all the prospective of
life and leaving questions like parenthood; trust unanswered”.
It was one of regular summer night, and something happened and a
life comes to an end. At the time of occurrence I was in Mumbai and in a
process to say goodbye to the city and move to Noida, which had suddenly became
the most talked about place and raising its bar by being the unsafe place for
girls to stay. I followed this case very closely and accepted the judgement
which came through by making the parents as main culprit but somewhere in my
heart wasn’t fully convinced about the theory which was re-re-presented by our
judiciary. So, when the movie was released I saw the first day first show. Movie
is purely based on the actuality and a great detailing had been done by Ms.
Meghna Gulzar. It took us back to 2008, when everything started, from first
step to the last, it has all of it. There were facts which most of us will
agree to is the nature of work which the investigating teams had adapted for
the execution of the final outcome were never ever highlighted and/or scrutinize.
Case was acted totally based on ‘Being Judgmental’,
without studying the pros n cons of the findings. No eyebrow was raised to
question the society / media / people about the ‘Heinous crime’
that was to be investigated and justice to be done, rather all were more
curious and interested in discussing the fault of parents; the lifestyle to
which they led; culture which they were part of. The three different teams
involved had dissimilar versions to talk about. Both the CBI (CDI in movie)
teams were pole apart from each other’s finding and neither were convinced.
Ministry had (probably which was done in reality) conducted a
private meeting, bringing both the teams in for analyzing the findings and
closing the gaps. However they could not reach to a concrete decision and hence
proposed for the closure of the case in lower court. However the
representatives in the court failed to convince Hon’ble court and were asked to
file the charge sheet against parents. Since then parents had been living the
life of haze, with a hope to see the real culprit/s behind the bar.
The Fault is not in stars but it is in ourselves, that we are
underlying it rather to overlook it!
