Sabudana Fritters





Sabudana is also called Sago or tapioca pearls in few cultures. Consider ideal in Navratri as “vrat special”.

Preparation Time: 4 hrs 10 mins
Cooking Time: 10 mins
Serving: 3 – 4 people

Ingredients:
Sabudana 1 cup
Water 3 cup
Potato 4(medium size)
Roasted Peanuts ½ cup (optional)
Sendha Namak as per taste
Two green pepper
Red Chilli Powder (optional)
Cilantro

Method:
Wash the Sabudana under the running water and then soak it in three cup water for 4 hrs (at max). Boil the potatoes. Once the Sabudana is soaked for prescribed period then drain the water and leave it in a strainer for 5 mins to get the water dried from Sabudana. Take a bowl put the Sabudana in it and mix the smashed potatoes, Salt, Cilantro, green pepper & red chilli powder and make the dough.
Once the dough is ready take a griddle; heat it on a high flame for a minute then pour the oil(depending on mode of frying: deep fry or shallow fry) to heat it till it becomes warm, and simultaneously make the small lemon size balls and flatten it between the palms and fry it till golden brown. Serve it with curd.
